My career as an educator is truly international and interdisciplinary. In addition to tutoring at University College Cork (Social Policy, Sociology, Research Writing for Undergraduates), I have taught in public secondary schools in Ontario, Canada, and in international secondary schools in The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and, currently, Morocco. Across ages, levels, cultures, borders, and continents, I commit to encouraging students of all ages and abilities to make their contribution to the 'body of knowledge' by connecting curriculum content to lived experience, by developing and embracing interdisciplinary questions, and designing primary and secondary research projects that allow them to suss out answers.
I first qualified as a teacher in Ontario, having obtained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (Levels: Intermediate and Senior levels; Teachable Subjects: English Language Arts and Politics). Additional qualifications include: Honours Specialist/Headship Qualification (English), Special Education (Learning Disabilities), and IB English Language A Language and Literature (Level 2). My experience includes Ontario curriculum, American curriculum (international schools), and the International Baccalaureate diploma programme. I am an examiner in the IB diploma programme: Extended Essay (Language A English), and Language and Literature Paper 2 (HL).

- language, culture, mass communications, sociolinguistics
